House (Art) Party.
I was getting weary of hearing my friends say, "Your work is amazing, but it just doesn't show well on social media." I had to fix that! I approached my very dear friend, Rob, that has a beautiful house in a historic area of downtown Pensacola, Florida. It's a modern design with clean lines and a mostly white interior. I knew it was a perfect staging place for my first comprehensive art show I have had in a loooong time.
I asked if I could use his house, he immediately said "yes" because he had been trying to figure out a way to support me and my art for a long time. You see, he already had a few pieces of mine and was an avid collector of black and white photography (which is the total opposite of what I do).
A few weeks later, this show came together and I am very pleased with the way it came together. What a great success. All guests enjoyed the work "live" and I was able to tell them more about the meaning of each piece.
My friend Heather is a proffessional photographer and took some amazing pictures that make all the difference in the world.
